A stair runner is a strip of carpet installed down the center of a staircase, leaving some of the hard flooring visible along the edges. It adds warmth and texture while helping reduce noise and providing a more comfortable surface underfoot.
Stair runners are a practical choice for busy Wisconsin homes, especially during colder months when extra traction and comfort are welcome. They can also help protect hardwood stairs from everyday wear, scratches, and foot traffic.
Whether your home features traditional hardwood, modern finishes, or a classic farmhouse design, we can help you explore carpet options that work with your interior.
The right details make a difference. At Twohig Flooring America, our in-house binding services help create stair runners with clean, finished edges for a polished, custom look.
Binding secures the edges of the carpet and helps prevent fraying. It also gives your stair runner a defined border that can complement your flooring, wall colors, and surrounding decor.
